Having lived in a very urban, inner city location, wildlife often constituted foxes, pigeons and cats, with the odd rat thrown in for good measure. So you can imagine how excited we were when one very still evening as the sun was setting we spotted three very large deer eating away at the grass on our meadow. Of course they were gone by the time Marcus arrived (loudly) on the terrace with his camera but it was still an amazing thing to know they mooching about the place! It’s definitely a novelty that hasn’t yet worn off!
