Road Cycling Holidays

"Highly recommended. The accommodation was spotless and very well appointed and tastefully decorated, with the comfiest bed I have ever slept in.The power of the shower was a very positive and welcome surprise after a long days ride.

The cycling was brilliant  with lots of variety from sweeping descents  past vineyards and along river  valleys to heart pumping challenging hills with rewarding views at the top. Chateaux and interesting Gites around every corner. Never a dull moment.Great  informative cycle  guiding  and bike maintenance from Marcus, with  the daily  ride tweaked  if necessary to take into account the  group's  energy and ability, with the odd challenge thrown in.  A support vehicle with Jim's humour, is an option should the wine consumption be too much at lunchtime.

The scrumptious food  by Charlotte and Mel and was of restaurant quality and far exceeded my expectations, to the delight if my taste buds, but not my waistline. Gluten and dairy free options were enthusiastically catered for.

The Team at As Plos couldn't be more helpful to us,their guests. They went out  their way to make my holiday memorable.  I was a solo traveller but made to feel part of the group from the moment of collection from the Airport to my drop off. I can't recommend this enough. I've cycled in Majorca and Tarn Cycling holidays beats that by far."

"Amazing cycling holiday - the routes were well thought out with pretty scenery, tasty lunch breaks and just the right amount of climbing! This was my first multiday cycling experience and Marcus made me comfortable from day 1 and i definitely felt fitter by the end of the week.

It's not just cycling. Fun evening activities such as eyeball golf and lawnmower time trials (brainchild of Forrest Jim) kept us entertained in the evening washed down with some lethal eau de vie!

Lastly, they really should hype up the food they serve! The food prepared by Charlotte and Mel was super tasty and well presented (I was pleasantly surprised with such high quality food for a catered holiday!).... So much so i out ate the cycling we were doing.

It was a lucky Google search that landed me on the tour du tarns website and I'm glad to have booked on to one of their first tours, not enough words to describe the amazing work these guys do and i hope to be back! Can you set up something in Asia so i don't need to travel so far?

"A wonderful cycling holiday! 4 energetic hosts pouring their hearts into designing a fun-loving cycling holiday for their guests. The fun began once we landed at Toulouse and didn’t end until the moment we were sent off at the airport a week later. Not only were the scenic cycling routes well planned, the lunch restaurant stops were also handpicked by the hosts. The hosts are very attentive to detail, including guests’ food preferences, fatigue level after each day’s ride, guests’ opinion to modify the cycling routes (usually shortening it), and their creative ways to keep the guests entertained in the evenings. If you fancy more climbing, Marcus is always up for it! We felt very lucky and grateful to have landed on Tours du Tarn website and eventually made the booking. I have been on other cycling holidays before but this has got to be the most personalized one. The hosts are simply lovely people! They know exactly how to keep everyone happy. They also constantly look for feedbacks and ways to improve their services. The cosy barn we stayed at, I wish I could just call it my home instead.

Cyclists, do watch out for the pasta night. It is a sign for big climbs the next day"

"Thank you for the most wonderful few days. The cycling exceeded all expectations with stunning views around every corner. The routes were very well planned taking us through medieval towns, vineyards and picturesque villages. The meals provided by Mel and Charlotte were exceptional and empty plates returned after each course. All in all, perfect hosts, amazing accommodation, fantastic food and a cycling break to be remembered. We will be returning."

Training Breaks

"I cannot recommend Tours Du Tarn enough as a location for a cycling holiday; the accommodation, the food (and wine) along with the local scenery are second to none. Their local knowledge of the suitably challenging rides in the area made it a very good week in the saddle." B Raven March 2017

"Tours du Tarn was a great week.  The area is fantastic to cycle in, and we had fabulous accommodation, great food and wine and in Marcus a friendly guide that coaxed us up the hills and gave us some great rides at the level we had asked for." J Goodridge March 2017

I have just moved to the area and had a truly memorable day ride out in the valleys and hills around Saint Antonin de Noble Val. Marcus is an excellent host and guide and the other ladies were great fun. I plan to out with them again very soon. Thanks, Marcus and not forgetting, Jim, our favourite cameraman and team car driver!
